New Zanj Publishing House has over the years released a wide range of books and posters focusing on central southern Africa.
Primarily the focus is on history, and the subjects covered in recent years include Victoria Falls, Kariba, Harare, as well as the beer and wine industries in Zimbabwe.
The flagship publication up to 2016 was the Central Africa Stock Exchanges (CASE) Handbook covering the markets of Botswana, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Other books include a collection of The Sandawana Column and The History of Highlands.
New Zanj has also published a range of calendars over the years that capture contemporary and historic themes, such as the hugely popular Zimdollar calendar, which also appeared as a poster.
